Clear Pharmacy exits Scottish market to focus on its other UK branches

Independent chain Clear Pharmacy has sold its last two remaining pharmacies in Scotland to focus on the rest of its 40-strong UK estate.

Property broker Christie & Co has revealed it advised on the sale of the company’s two branches in Forres, situated “just yards apart” on the town’s high street.

The branches were bought by Right Medicine Pharmacy, which now owns 45 pharmacies in Scotland

Right Medicine Pharmacy’s Mike Embrey commented: “We were delighted that Clear Pharmacy accepted our offer for these two pharmacies in Forres.

“Each pharmacy has a fantastic team in place, and we look forward to working with them to ensure patients in Forres get the best possible pharmacy service as we look to grow the business.

Christie & Co pharmacy director Karl Clezy said: “I was delighted to assist Clear Pharmacy with the sale of these two branches. Right Medicine Pharmacy is the ideal buyer, as they already own pharmacies nearby in Lossiemouth and Llanbryde, near Elgin.

“They are an operator that likes to acquire pharmacies in small towns like Forres, excelling in providing a great service to the local community."
